Dr. Nayef bin Nahar is the director of the Ibn Khaldun Center for Humanities and Social Sciences and the Waae Foundation for Research. He received his bachelor's in Islamic studies at Qatar University in 2008 and his Master’s in Islamic fundamentals and jurisprudence from the International Islamic University in Malaysia with distinction in 2011. Later, he received his PhD from the same university in Islamic fundamentals and jurisprudence with a distinction in 2014. In both degrees, his thesis addresses Islamic banking—moreover, Dr. Nayef bin Nahar obtained his second PhD in political sciences from the International Islamic University in Malaysia in 2018; his thesis subject was on the fixed and changeable in the democratic system. In addition, Dr. Nayef published nine books in various disciplines, of which: “From Secularism to Creationism”, “Interactive Localization in Social Sciences”, “Islamic Banking in the State of Qatar”, “Introduction to International Relations”, “Democracy as It Is” and “The Claim of Logical Coherence Between Islam and Secularism." He has about fourteen peer-reviewed research papers in various scientific journals, including “Moral Induction by Shatby”, “Spinoza's Approach to Dealing with religious texts and the Challenge of Its Application in the Islamic Context”, “The Sharia Mechanisms for Forming the Capitals of Islamic Branches”, “A Proposed Methodology for Establishing the Science of Occidentalism.” Dr. Nayef bin Nahar pioneered a new theory in international relations named “deterrent arm” and obtained its intellectual property on the 7th of February 2016.
